Tom Doman

Tom has spent the whole of his 30 year legal career dealing with disputes, litigation and Court work. 

Years in the trenches of commercial litigation makes a lot of lawyers jaded and cynical.  However, for Tom these years of experience have only reinforced his love of the law, and the emotional and intellectual investment he is prepared to make to achieve the ‘right’ and ‘just’ outcome for his clients.

Tom also has the benefit of having worked for the ‘state’. Early in his career he spent a number of years practicing in the Northern Territory, including as a Crown Prosecutor. This time not only provides the source of some entertaining lunchtime stories, it also forms the basis of Tom’s cool and unphasable poker face under pressure.

Tom has served on a number of Law Society Committees and on the Board of several Charities. He is currently the Honourary Legal Advisor for World Youth International.



Interests outside law include trekking (he completed the Kokoda Track in July 2008, and the Milford Track in April 2012), overviewing his family’s Yadlamalka sheep and cattle station in the Flinders Rangers (that has been in the Doman family since the 1890's), and traveling in India and South East Asia.
